The Santorini Life

A few months after our wedding, Yvonne and I were able to take our Honeymoon in Santorini, Greece. It ended up being a perfect way to celebrate our life as a newly married couple. The views, of course, were fantastic and the food was surprisingly good.

We positioned ourselves along the cliffside pathway to get a view of our first Santorini sunset. The island comes to a standstill when the sky turns golden orange. Everyone turns their gaze to the west to watch the sun slowly disappear.

We both wanted to have a chance to swim in the Mediterranean so we booked a day long excursion on Caldera Boat tours. We departed from the “Old Port” where you can either choose a donkey or gondola for your trip down the cliff.

After a quick hike up the dormant volcano, we went back on the ship and headed toward the hot springs. As the captain set the anchor down, people dove in the Mediterranean for a swim. The water was crisp, clear, and beautiful.

At the end of the day, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and a beautiful sunset by the coast of Oia.
