W151 Memories

I was feeling a bit nostalgic (and bored) at work today so I decided to sift through some of my old 151 pictures. Funny how half my pictures are of people wrestling or sleeping. I thought we did more than that. Click on the picture to view more.

151: End of an Era

So Marco and Jon Lin have officially moved out of 151. It seems pretty empty without all the posters and the shelves. I still remember moving into 151 the first day of my junior year. Meeting Natty was great. We were all expecting him to be a jerk but he turned out to be the best roommate we could ask for. I still have 151 time lapses from last year. Eight computers in one room was pretty crazy. Warcraft and CS setup on all eight called for excessive time wasting and hours of fun. Back then the 151 regulars were CWan, Clem, Louis, Big Andy, Jon Lin, Koller, Albert, and George Lee. I would say 151 was much more of gamers room last year. This year 151 was more of a hang out room, the regulars were a lot more diverse. CWan, Kao, Zhang, Jon Wang, Cat, Izzy, Darlene, Elaine, Koller, DShaw, and Albert. It was a bit slow in the beginning of the year, but the past few months have been a lot of the same people. VC and Bridge til the morning rather than CS and W3. I will miss seeing everyone come by, but I think I’m getting old and I need my rest. Goodbye 151 you have served us well.

151 Up for Grabs

None of the roommates are planning on staying in 151 next year so it is up for grabs. Some random girls just stopped by and asked about our room. If you’re interested in taking our room, it’s open. I’m kind of hoping someone we know will get the room so I’ll have some place to go when I’m stuck on campus.

Back in Jester

I got back this afternoon right after church. Here are a few things I’ve done since getting back:

- Took a 30 minute shower because it took 15 minutes for the water to turn warm
- Turned my webcam back on
- Ordered Papa John’s special deal, buy one large specialty and get a large one topping for free (I figured I might need some food in case JCL was still closed tomorrow)
- Watched the NFL playoffs
- Sent Panda and Alex season 2 of 24
- Put some pictures up from Trail of Lights, you can find them in My Photos in the Austin section
- Read for over an hour since there’s nothing better to do

Some things to do tomorrow:
- Pick up my contacts
- Possibly work out (hah I’m already sore enough from football)
- Pick up application for job
- Check the mail
- Read some more if the above fail to occupy my time

After church tomorrow I’m going to be moving back on campus. What am I going to do on campus? I have no idea. Stop by if you’re bored.

I’ll be packing and moving into W151 tomorrow. If all goes well, I should be settled in and ready for visitors by Friday afternoon. After that I’ll be at Liquid leadership retreat for all of Saturday. Stop by if you move in on Friday.

W151 27’ Sony Wega

So Jon Lin has informed me that he has bought a 27′ Sony Wega for W151 this coming year. This is a huge upgrade from Marco’s 19′ fishbowl TV that we had last year. Thing is, he got Caleb to buy it at Circuit City in Austin. Apparently 27′ Sony Wegas don’t fit in 1997 Honda Accords. So tonight I get to drive Matt’s SUV up to Circuit City and pick up our new friend. I’m looking forward to meeting my new friend and getting to know him well before everyone else does.
