Grilling Fish

Kelly had bought me a fish basket for grilling for my birthday. I tried it for the first time today with a white bass that I bought for $1.83 at the new Asian supermarket on Lamar. It turned out pretty darn good. I looked up some recipes online but none of them looked that great so I came up with my own. Lightly brush oil on the fish, add salt and pepper, cut lemon and squeeze juice onto the fish, use the lemon slices and green onions during grilling and grill til flakey. Turned out really yummy. I added a little soy sauce after it was done. I think I will have to do this more often.

Birthday Present

My mom kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday and I couldn’t think of anything good. The other day I remembered that I always wanted a grill. So thanks to my brother, sister, and parents for all chipping in to buy me a new grill! This year’s UT games are gonna be fun at our place. HD + grilling + UT win = happy place.

Here’s a time lapse of me assembling the thing.

Today we had some family friends over for dinner so we had a BBQ. Caleb and I cooked steak, pork, and chicken wings and they all turned out reaaaaly goood :) . I’m eating as much good food as possible before I get to UT since I hear that Jester food is pretty nasty. My sister just flew out from San Francisco today at about 7 in the morning. It was a fun week since she was here. We did a lot more stuff then I usually do during a week in summer. Now all I have to look forward to is going to college! I need to start thinking about what I need and stuff….
