Snow Boarding Observations

This weekend was my first time snow boarding so here are some observations that I had of my experience.

- I picked up snow boarding a lot faster than I did skiing
- Because of that, I think snow boarding is more fun
- Copper Mountain is the best ski resort I’ve been to thus far
- I need to rent/buy a helmet next time so I can board faster without worrying
- Going off peak season was the best idea ever
- Driving to Colorado isn’t too bad as long as you play Big 2
- iPhone is nice to have on long trips

Yeah seriously, snowboarding is way more fun and easily learnable than skiing. I love it.

Gotta be careful with going on off peak times, since it can suck if there's no snow. We totally got lucky w/ the sheer amount of snow fall that just so happened to occur while we were there.

Although the absence of people on the slopes is awesome. Sunday was horrible as the lines were freaking long……..

You should try Whistler, Park City and Winter Park. But off-peak snow there <<< snow during mid-December to early March.

Helmet for snowboarding is definitely recommended – just ask Ricky about his accident…

what tim said about the snowfall. boarding on solid ice makes learning extra painful. but i generally aim for off-peak, because i hate long lines at the lifts.
