We just went through the worst thunderstorm I have ever been in. We left Austin at around 6:30 expecting a pretty smooth ride up to Dallas. Before we hit Waco, we were getting teased by a panoramic lightning storm. We could see lightning hit all around the horizon, it was absolutely amazing. Harmon was driving his 4runner towing a uhaul trailer. Tim and I were following him making sure that the thing didn’t fall off. After passing through Waco, we started getting hit with 60 mph winds. After about 5 minutes of that, the rain hit. We could barely see 15 feet in front of the car. We kept driving at about 25 mph for about another 30 minutes. There were so many cars that just stopped at the side of the road because the rain was so bad. Thankfully, about 45 minutes later, the rain let up. It was still raining the rest of the way up to Plano but at least we got through it. We’re now resting up at Harmon’s house. We’ll be heading out to DCCYC tomorrow morning. Hopefully the storm won’t follow us out there
